Epic Procrastination

This is indirectly related to why this blog is being posted at 11: fifty something right before it is due.

Imagine yourself getting an assignment at the beginning of the semester including all of the details for how to do it. The professor give you not one, but two extensions on it and yet it is still being done at the last minute.

Hours are spent in the library getting the assignment done the night before its due.  The library closes at 11:00 p.m., after which you find out that you got to give your friend a ride home.  The assignment isn’t quite finished meaning that its going to be an all-nighter.

This part was added to the original draft after the fact.  The draft you have written for your wordpress blog is saved on your thumb drive, but then you realize at 11:30 that its due in 29 minutes.  I couldn’t leave out the part about hitting every red light on the way home and then of course when Firefox opens it won’t let you proceed until you INSTALL NEW UPDATES!

Then you find yourself singing “I’m So Pretty” because you are so frustrated and Jack Nicholson is the man.

So if you have a six page exegesis to write for the end of the semester, don’t wait until the end of the semester.
